Lauren Alaina, runner-up of last season’s American Idol, releases her debut album “Wildflower” today, October 11th.
The 16-year-old country singer promises her fans that the CD has a little bit of something for everyone, including fast, danceable songs and slower, emotional ballads. One of the album’s tracks is “Like My Mother Does”, the single Alaina premiered during her final week on American Idol.
Alaina finished second on the reality competition show to fellow teenaged country crooner Scotty McCreery. McCreery released his own debut album “Clear as Day” just last week. Only time will tell whether either of the kids will break out of the American Idol bubble and establish a career. Season four winner Carrie Underwood has made a name for herself in her own right on the country music scene.
Alaina dedicates “Wildflower” to all of the fans who voted for her on American Idol, thus making her dreams possible.
