Kim Kardashian has been diagnosed with psoriasis. The disease, which is fairly common, has been defined by the National Institutes of Health as “a common skin condition that causes skin redness and irritation. Most people with psoriasis have thick, red skin with flaky, silver-white patches called scales.” While Miss Kardashian might feel alone as a result of her diagnosis, there are plenty of other celebrities who are in her same boat.
- Art Garfunkle: Popular musician form the ’70s actually talked openly about his psoriasis on his website. He even said “I have psoriasis and I’ve been told that if you float in that salty, buoyant water, it’s very good for the skin. I found it not so much therapeutic as beautiful.”
- LeAnn Rimes: Another musician who talked in an interview about psoriasis saying “Not only does that take a physical toll on your body, but it takes an emotional toll.”
- Stacy London: The “What Not to Wear” host not only suffers from psoriasis, but is also the spokesperson for National Psoriasis Foundation.
